Clario AI ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Clario AI study platform at useclario.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your name and email address via Google OAuth. We do not store passwords. Your Google account credentials stay with Google — we only receive a verified email address and name.

Content You Upload

Documents, slides, images, audio, and video files you upload are stored temporarily in Google Cloud Storage for the purpose of generating your study materials (summaries, flashcards, quizzes). Files are deleted from storage after processing is complete. The AI-generated study materials are stored in our database and associated with your account.

Usage Data

We collect standard usage information such as which features you use, study pack activity, and session data. This helps us improve the product and deliver a better study experience.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled.

How We Use Your Information

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the platform (Google Cloud, OpenAI, Stripe, SendGrid). Each provider is bound by their own privacy agreements.

Your Choices

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@useclario.ai. You may also export your study materials from your account settings.

Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit and apply security best practices to our infrastructure. We do not store uploaded files after processing is complete.
